360° observation deck

The building’s unique architecture

Who built Mirador Torre Glòries 

The Torre Glòries building (formerly known as the Torre Agbar) was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and opened in 2005. Jean Nouvel is also the man behind the expansion of the iconic Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid (with its newest wing named the Nouvel Building after him). For years, the tower was an office building, until its owners conceived the plan to turn part of it into an observation deck. This experience was then opened to the public in May 2022 and soon also earned the title of the Most Innovative Venue of Spain in 2022.

Architecture of Mirador Torre Glòries 

Torre Glòries blends modern design with expressive geometry. Its rounded, bullet-like silhouette stands out amidst Barcelona’s skyline. The structure stands about 144 metres tall, making it the third-tallest building in Barcelona.

During the day, the tower’s glass façade catches and reflects sunlight; at night, thousands of LED lights transform it into a glowing beacon. The tower’s surface comprises dozens of glass panels, shifting in appearance depending on the time of day and lighting conditions.
