Very large park with unique facilities , several benches along the percorco , and other places where you can catch your breath and admire the artistic context, toilets clean and well maintained , very important feature for a place to visit and open to a numero.notevoli of visitors, the maps if there were a few more would not be bad pee understand along the way where we are and where we want to go, something there is but I would say nn very clear and intuitive ... cmq place to visit, beautiful singular, inside an additional ticket in addition to the entrance pee visit one of the houses inside the park. Which honestly could be part of the pew price of the ticket already paid to enter the park.

The park is beautiful! The Gaudi experience is another intriguing way to learn about his imagination and dedication to nature. We went early in the day (9:30a, June 7) and it was quite warm by the time we left about 11:30a. Make sure to wear sunscreen, hat, and take or buy water. The walk up to the higher levels is worth the climb! Remember that once you go down to the terrace (serpentine bench) you have "left" the park and would need to buy another ticket to get back in. I recommend the audio guide!

We were put on an earlier tour as we had arrived early and there was space available, we were grateful for this as we had plans later and it made it easier to keep those plans.

Despite having tested it previously, when I got to the park entrance, I couldn't open the tickets to show the QR codes. I had to contact support via chat and they ended up sending me the tickets by email (I wasted about half an hour). Sagrada Familia was amazing! So beautiful.. the meeting up was a little confusing because there are so very many people there and our guide was later than we were and the link to the location was wrong. The picture and description were correct. The guide was pleasant and the ease of entry improved compared to general entry. I liked that the guided part was relatively short and we could explore on our own as long as we wanted. The transition was a little awkward, like Bye! ok, didn't realize you were done with us. Definitely worth seeing and satisfied with experience despite the crowds and heat.

What we liked most was the Sagrada Familia - words do not do it justice. However, we actually missed out meeting time - there was construction going on at the spot. Another tour guide from another company told us we had the right spot but wrong time. However we did come upon a city tour guide named Eduardo who said if some of his group didn't show up we could join him. That is what happened, so lucky for us we were part of a private tour. We were glad we to a cab to Guidi Park as the map didn't shop the hill and how complicated the route actually is. Our guide was great- I forgot her name.

Gorgeous park!!! We went on a Sunday. There were acoustic singers/musicians in different spots around the park adding to the amazing atmosphere. The different architechtural features by Gaudi were just gorgeous!! We were in awe. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring something to drink! They will let you bring in refreshments of your own. They do not have any for sale inside the park.

Booked the tickets online, which was fairly easy Then looking for a boarding stop This gave more problems, also because you don't know what they look like. So we went to grada familia to get on the bus. At first we were also wrong, but once we knew which buses and the staff explained the concept to us, our adventure could begin. Nice way of exploring the city with explanations in your own language about what you see along the way. And you can leave or re-enter the bus whenever you feel like it. This way you do not have to miss anything of Barcelona

Top things to do in Barcelona

Things to know before booking your Park Guell tickets

  • Park Güell caps entries at 1,400 visitors per hour, so book your tickets in advance to avoid missing out.
  •  There are multiple ticket options to choose from: general entry, skip-the-line access, guided tours, and audio guides in multiple languages. Choose one that suits your needs.
  • Opted for the audio guide? Nice pick! Just download it through the app in your preferred language. It works offline, so you can wander Gaudí’s world without hunting for Wi-Fi or burning through data. Oh, and here’s a handy user guide to make things a breeze.
  • Here’s a pro tip: most tourists completely miss the Gaudí House Museum—the actual home of the legend himself. But not every ticket includes access to it. If it’s on your must-see list (and it should be), make sure you grab a ticket that covers it.
  • Ready for more Gaudí magic? Barcelona is basically his architectural playground—and you’re invited. Grab a combo ticket to Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló, or La Pedrera. It’s the smartest way to soak up his masterpieces while saving time and money.
  • And hey, skip the expensive taxi rides. Grab a combo with the hop-on hop-off bus tour. It drops you off right near Park Güell and takes you around to all the city’s top sights. Convenient and budget-friendly? Yes, please.

The Serpentine Bench

It is a mosaic-tiled seating structure that winds along the terrace of Park Guell. Designed using Gaudí's innovative Trencandis technique, the bench showcases a serpentine form with a spectrum of vibrant tones from green to blue. It is crafted from discarded tiles sourced from a nearby factory!

El Drac

Meet 'El Drac,' the beautiful mosaic salamander at Park Guell, symbolizing Barcelona. Crafted from brick and made with Gaudi's distinctive Trecandis technique, this masterpiece stands at the park's entrance. Trecandis and serpentine shapes, recurring in Gaudi's work, find a captivating expression at Park Guell, don't miss them!

The Greek Theatre or Nature Square

The heart of Park Guell is a vast open space, originally envisioned by Gaudí as a Greek Theatre. Today, it's more commonly known as the Nature Square or Plaça de la Natura. One of the most striking features of the Nature Square is the undulating bench covered in vibrant mosaic tiles, designed by Josep Maria Jujol, a collaborator of Gaudi.

Porter's Lodge Pavilions

Flanking the main entrance of Park Guell on Carrer d'Olot are two pavilions known as Porter's Lodge. The left one once served as a concierge's office with a waiting room and phone booth, while the right, named Casa del Guarda, was the porter's house. Today, Casa del Guarda is part of the MUHBA (Barcelona History Museum).

The Hypostyle Hall

This grand hall with unique Doric columns showcases Gaudí's architectural brilliance. This remarkable space features 86 fluted columns, and where columns are absent, the design simulates three naves akin to a grand temple. The room's benches provide excellent vantage points for views of the entrance pavilion and the iconic dragon fountain.

The Gardens of Austria

Originally designated for urban plots, the area now known as Austria's Gardens in Park Guell transformed into a municipal nursery when the park became public. Named after Austria's tree donation during the "Vienna in Barcelona" exhibition in 1977, the garden offers panoramic views and has two houses in its center.

The Laundry Room Portico

Tucked away from the main tourist routes, the Laundry Room Portico offers a quieter and more intimate experience of Park Guell. Located on the eastern side of the Nature Square, the Laundry Room Portico has an original iron gate leading to Casa Larrard's former gardens. Set above the house, it winds through a pine grove with a portico resembling a wave on inclined columns—a prime example of Gaudi's cherished organic architecture.

The Roadways Pathways, and Viaducts

Designed by Antonio Gaudi, three five-meter-wide viaducts lead to the hill of the Three Crosses. A ten-meter-wide transversal road connects Carmel Road to the Sant Josep de la Muntanya exit. Gaudi also crafted three-meter-wide pedestrian paths featuring stairs and slopes, providing direct access to various plots.

Walk of the Palm Trees

Explore the Walk of the Palm Trees, Park Guell's broadest boulevard. This street, spanning 10 meters in width, links Carmel Road to the Sant Josep de la Muntanya exit, running along the expansive square from above. Gaudi's design also includes three-meter-wide pedestrian paths, offering shortcuts with stairs and slopes for direct access to various plots.

Park Guell Tickets

Park Güell is split into two zones, each with its own charm, and both are totally worth exploring.

Monumental Zone: This is where the magic happens. This 12-hectare area is home to all the iconic Gaudí designs: the colorful mosaic lizard, the wavy bench with postcard views, and those twisty stone columns. It’s the heart of the park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, no less!

Forest Zone: This lesser-known zone is the park’s quieter side. Spread across 8 hectares, it’s full of greenery, walking trails, and peaceful spots to relax. No mosaics here—just nature doing its thing.

The whole park is open to visitors, but since 2013, entry to the Monumental Zone has been regulated to avoid big crowds. So, you’ll need to book your ticket in advance to get in. Locals with a Neighbour’s Card or Gaudir Més pass can waltz in without a booking—lucky them!
