Everything from start until the end. Our guide Sofi was incredible, she was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and willing to engage in conversation and answer all of our questions, she was very charming and charismatic. We were able to learn a lot! Picasso's collection, including incredible Las Meninas, atmosphere and location of the museum, gift shop and Pablo's café. Would 100% recommend to everyone visiting Barselona. A must!

Barcelona an unforgettable experience. From the view of the room on the Pedrera,to the chirping of Park Guell,to the tears in the Sagrada passing by the Rambla to taste the delicacies of the Bouqueria to end up with your feet in the water of the Barceloneta...Absolutely to Do Again

I definitely didn't want to give this experience a perfect score; it seems like the app automatically prompts you to give it the highest rating. I tried to change it but couldn't. It was one of the worst experiences ever; we had the 13th off, and this app was the only one that showed availability for Picasso on the 13th. In fact, the museum is closed on Mondays, which is why I received a message on the 12th saying the tour was canceled for technical reasons and to request a refund through the app. That’s when the nightmare began; the app wouldn’t refund us, and in the end, we went to the museum without a tour—there are no guided tours at the Picasso Museum. Long story short, lots of marketing! Buy tickets from the museum’s official website!

Top things to do in Barcelona

  • Ticket options: All tickets include timed-entry access to the Museu Picasso’s permanent collection. Options range from self-guided visits to guided tours with expert commentary and skip-the-line benefits.
  • Additional access: Combo tickets bundle the museum entry with a guided walking tour through the Gothic Quarter. Some combos also incorporate access to nearby cultural sites like the Moco Museum.

  • When to book: Peak seasons and free-entry days sell out quickly; booking in advance for early morning or off-peak slots is recommended.
  • Good to know: Visits generally last 1 to 2 hours with single-entry tickets and fixed time slots; free cancellation is often available up to 24 to 72 hours ahead, depending on the ticket type.

Things to know before booking your Picasso Museum tickets

Booking window

• Tickets are released online with timed-entry slots; booking at least 8–30 days ahead is recommended during peak months (May–October) when visitor demand is high.
• Free-entry days and popular temporary exhibitions tend to sell out quickly; reserving in advance helps avoid long waits.
• Same-day or last-minute bookings are limited, so securing your timeslot in advance ensures guaranteed entry.

Entrances & flow

• All visitors enter through the main door on Carrer Montcada, where online tickets bypass the walk-up purchase line, saving you about 20–45 minutes in queue.
• With skip-the-line or hosted entry tickets, you still pass through security and bag-checks; expect an additional wait of 10–20 minutes during busy periods.
• Guided tour options include a host who meets you at the entrance to validate tickets, further streamlining your entry process.

What’s included

• Standard tickets grant timed access to the permanent collection and selected temporary exhibitions across the historic Gothic palaces.
• Most tickets cover self-guided entry with printed materials; audio guides or live guided tours are available as optional upgrades.
• Once you exit, re-entry is not permitted, so choose your visit slot according to the time you wish to spend inside.

Ways to explore

• Self-guided entry lets you explore the collections at your own pace while following clear museum signage.
• Adding an audio guide offers structured context and detailed commentary on key artworks.
• Small-group guided tours (typically 10–20 people) provide expert insights and efficient navigation through the museum’s intimate galleries.

Special access & upgrades

• Hosted entry tickets include a representative who meets you outside, validates your ticket, and directs you to the correct entry lane, reducing time spent in queues.
• Combo options often pair museum admission with a guided walking tour of El Born, giving you added local context.
• Capacity-limited upgrades ensure faster check-in, so check availability when you book.

Policies

• Tickets are nominative and time-sensitive; bring a matching photo ID to be granted entry.
• Large bags may need to be checked in the cloakroom, so plan to travel light.
• Arriving late for your reserved slot may result in a shortened visit or denied entry, so punctuality is important.
