Getting to Sagrada Familia in Barcelona

By metro

Metro is the easiest and quickest way to get to Sagrada Familia. Take Line 2 (purple) or Line 5 (blue) and hop off at the Sagrada Familia stop, the basilica is right outside the station. Coming from Park Güell? Take Line 3 to Lesseps and walk 15–20 minutes downhill.

By bus

Several city buses connect directly to Sagrada Familia. If you’re coming from Park Güell, buses 24 and V19 drop you near the main entrance, while D40 and H6 serve the back entrance on Carrer d’Olot.

By car

Driving to Sagrada Familia is possible, but city traffic and limited parking can be a challenge. From Plaça Catalunya, head northeast on Passeig de Gràcia and turn onto Carrer de Mallorca—Sagrada Familia will appear on your right. If you're coming from Park Güell, take Ctra. del Carmel and follow the signs down into the Eixample district.

On foot

If you're staying in the Eixample or Gràcia neighborhoods, walking to Sagrada Familia is a great option. The streets are wide, safe, and full of local charm. From Park Güell, it's a downhill pleasant walk of about 30 minutes. So, wear some comfortable shoes.

Important Sagrada Familia entrance update

Due to public works on Carrer de la Marina, Sagrada Familia entrances will be temporarily affected. From November to May, ticket collection will take place at Marina–Mallorca (for groups) and Marina–Provença (for individuals). The exit through the shop will remain open.
