The first time I visited La Pedrera, my children were young, and I hadn’t been back on any of my subsequent trips to Barcelona. I didn’t remember what I’d seen back then. I loved coming back and learning a little more about Gaudí’s work.

It’s very easy to get to Gaudí’s two iconic houses, and you can get a small discount. Tip: early morning visits are less crowded. It gets very busy, especially in some of the narrower rooms, but the time-stamped tickets help regulate the flow of visitors. The audio guides are very informative, and these houses are a must-see. Special mention goes to the attic and terrace of La Pedrera—they’re absolutely stunning!

This was our first visit to Casa Batlló, and it was a magical experience—we loved it. The audio guides are fantastic; as we move through the rooms, the audio guide automatically switches to the explanation for the room we’re currently visiting, allowing us to explore on our own. We highly recommend giving it a try.

Someone once told me that even if I never went to Barcelona before, even if I didn't know who Gaudí was, I'd still recognize Casa Battlo as his work. They were absolutely right. The best description for this place is - out of this world. I felt as if I traveled in time, but towards the future. Breathtaking. Casa Amatller was designed by Josep Cadafalch, him I did not know about. After exiting Casa Amatller I made sure to read about him and learn what other places he designed. The house reminded me a little of the castles in my home country, Romania, but sprinkled with a unique touch of Spanish history. I loved it. If you would ask me, don't miss any of them. Visit both, they are amazing, you will not regret it.

Quick overview: How the Turbopass Barcelona City Card helps you skip lines

Barcelona’s top attractions operate with timed entry, capacity limits, and long on-site ticket lines, especially from April to October. At major sights like Casa Batlló, Sagrada Família-area attractions, and museums along Passeig de Gràcia, ticket queues can stretch 30–90 minutes on busy days (approx.), with additional waits for ticket validation and security.

Turbopass Barcelona City Card options explained

  • All-in-one city pass (1–7 days): The core advantage of the Turbopass is convenience. Instead of buying separate tickets for each attraction, you scan one digital pass at entry points across 25+ attractions, including Casa Batlló, museums, guided experiences, and select tours. Ideal if you plan to visit multiple sights per day and want predictable access without standing in ticket lines.
  • Skip-the-line access at major attractions: Many included attractions accept the Turbopass at a dedicated entrance or priority lane, letting you bypass general ticket sales entirely. You still pass through standard security where required, but you avoid ticket counters altogether. On high-demand days, this can save 45–60 minutes per attraction (approx.).
  • Public transport + HOHO access included: Unlimited travel on buses, metro, trains, and trams removes the need to queue for transport tickets each day. The included 24-hour hop-on hop-off bus also replaces separate sightseeing purchases, making movement between attractions faster and simpler.
  • High-value experiences bundled in: Beyond landmarks, the pass includes experiential extras like tapas tastings and a sunset catamaran cruise. These typically require advance booking when purchased separately, but with the Turbopass, you redeem directly using your pass, reducing planning friction and on-the-day delays.
  • Big savings for packed itineraries (Up to ~60%): If your plan includes 3–4 attractions per day, the Turbopass usually costs significantly less than buying tickets individually. Best value comes from short, intensive trips where time saved in queues matters as much as money saved.

Book Casa Vicens Tickets

Casa Vicens can feel busiest in peak summer months and weekends, but queues are usually tied to whether you have a reservation/time slot. With a reservation, waits are typically minimal; without one, you may face delays or have to wait for the next available entry window on popular days (approx.).

What does “skip-the-line” really mean at Casa Vicens?

At Casa Vicens, “skip-the-line” is basically “don’t rely on walk-up tickets.” It means you book a timed entry in advance, arrive at your slot, and scan/validate your ticket at the entrance. How it works

  1. Book online: Choose date/time (timed entry).

  3. Scan + enter: Validate at the entrance and follow staff flow.
  4. Inside: Visit is typically self-paced unless you’re on a guided/special visit.
