Austria Gardens is included with all Park Güell tickets. No separate ticket is needed. It usually comes midway through a Park Güell visit, after the busiest Monumental Zone stops, and you reach it by entering through one of the main gates and following the signed paths. Book Park Güell Tickets for a flexible self-paced stop here, or choose the Park Güell Skip-the-Line Guided Tour if you want the gardens explained in the wider story of the park.
The land now called Austria Gardens was originally meant for houses in Eusebi Güell’s private garden-city development. After that residential plan failed, the area was reused as a municipal plant nursery, and it took its current name in 1977 after Austria donated trees for an exhibition in Barcelona. Today it works as a quieter landscaped pause inside Park Güell, linking Gaudí’s architecture to the hillside around it.
